There was a rasping laugh, to quiet to hear, a gleam of satisfaction in the over-bright malicious eyes. She stepped quietly out of the brambles and bushes that were meant to dissuade entrance to the camp, eyes latching onto the nursery, her nose confirming the truth. "Kits." She said, creeping forward in the darkness, the clouds covering the stars and moon and only the faintest amount of light could be seen. Oath drew in another breath, looking around, they were all asleep, this would not take long. With that thought in mind she hurried into the nursery, eyes looking for the small bodies of kits, hopefully not very old, kits for bloodclan. She had washed her stench from her, and covered it with the more pleasant smell of fresh grass. In all aspects she was invisible, sitting in the back of the nursery and looking for kits, eyes hardy able to make anything out in the darkness, which only meant she couldn't be seen either.

Snowkit woke up, having heard something. She wasn't sure what, but she knew something was in here. She shivvered and looked around. This action woke her mother, who, groaning, asked her daughter. "What's wrong?" "I thought I heard something." Snowkit mewed. Littleflower yawned and looked around, her ears twitching to pick up any unusual sounds. Snowkit's tail waved eagerly, batting Bluekit in the nose. "Hey!" She yowled, waking Stonekit.

Oath smiled, hidden in the darkness her ear and nose tracking where the kits where her eyes couldn't. She walked towards the sound quietly sidestepping so she was behind them, now she could see them, faintly outlined by the little light outside. The mother was a problem, but nothing her claws couldn't handle. She frowned, deciding to try this a different way, it would not do to shed blood. If the mother yowled though, tha would be the end of the peacefull way."Lonestar says im to help you take the kits out of camp. Hes expecting some unwanted company here soon. Sorry about sneaking in, I thought perhaps you'd already left, its so dark out with the clouds." She sid, doing her est to sound friendly.
Rookpaw stirred a little in his sleep, across the camp in the apprentic's den all alone. Hi dream having turned strange, there was a scent but he couldnt cath it but it reminded him ofsomethign sinister. it kept floating away drowned out by the sharp sell of metal and needles that the humans had pushed into him, deep into him. He shuddered and woke up, covered in a cold sweat.

Littleflower jumped up as she heard somecat behind her. She brushed her kits behind her and turned towards the voice. "Who are you." She asked, not willing to give up her kits for some stranger. Her eyes stared in the direction of the voice trying to penetrate the darkness. Snowkit shivvered and Stonekit moved over as if to protect her. Bluekit fought her mother's tail, trying to get a glance at the strange cat.

Oath smiled, well it was one step in the right direction. "I am help, if we could hurry, time is of the essence here." She said aking a step forward int the dim light, eyes shining. Come on already, just trust me, that way i wont have to carry al three of the brats all the way, just alf. She thought to herself he was quite glad she had taken off her 'jewelry' s it would have been a giveaway to her coming from bloodclan. "Lonestar did seem in quiet a hurry, said i wasn't to wake any other cat either, so i didn't. " She purred softly, craning her head to look at the kits. "Aren't they cute, quite old? Almost ready to be apprentices? Its hard to tell in the blasted dark." She said smiling warmly at the other cat.
Rookpaw frowned something was still not right, that wavering scent still tempted him, he having directed the winds to pull all scents in the territory to him. Either the cat had crossed some time ago, or their scent was entirely hidden, as though they were hiding somewhere, somewhere around grass. He frowned twitching his whiskers and rubbing sleep from hi face, it was late and he was sorely tempted to go to sleep again but he was curious about the wavering faint scent.

"I doubt Lonestar would send you even if this was true." Littleflower replied cooly. "He knows I would never hand my kits over to a stranger. He'd send someone I know, like Icepetal, or Rookpaw. Not somecat I've never seen before who reeks of grass." She tapped Stonekit's head with her tail. "But then again, you might be right. Stonekit, go find Lonestar and ask him if he sent this cat." The grey kit dashed out of the nursery and Littleflower turned back to look at the stranger. She didn't belive this cat for a second, maybe this would get her to make her move.

Icepetal awoke in her den, vaguely realizing Foxfire hadn't come back yet. Getting up to go look for her sister, she saw Stonekit dash past her and blinked in slight confusion. Shaking her head, she padded over to the apprentice's den and poked her head in, noticing Rookpaw was up. She knew something wasn't right. About to ask him to help her look for Foxfire, Icepetal stopped and, shaking her head, backed out to go look for Foxfire herself. Then she smelled the grass. What the..... Padding over to the nursering and poking her head in, she smiled at Littleflower and the intruder. In the dark, it was hard to see the trail of ice she left behind. "Littleflower? Can I help with something?" Icepetal asked, her voice cold and smooth but gentle and caring.....

"This cat think's I'm about to let her walk out of here with my kits." Littleflower said, matter-of-factly. "She claims Lonestar sent her here to take them away for something, and I'm having a very hard time beliving that." Her tail swayed dangerously and she unshethed her claws.

"Oh? I was notified of no such thing." Icepetal purred. "Surely he would have notified his medicine cat if we were moving?" She suggested, blinking in mock surprise. Then the moonlight caught her fur, revealing that ice had completely covered her paws and legs, going up to her theighs and shoulders. Ice also covered her tail, making it rather like a club. Each claw was extended by ice. Her eyes wewre unreadable as was her stance as she glowered angirly at Oath. "Have you sent one to consult with Lonestar?" Icepetal asked Littleflower......

oath grimaced mentally. Great, just great, well she could probably still talk her way out of it. Still, once Lonestar came she was done, she had to hurry, but a clever bit or trickery she had already decided on, she suddenly pricked her ears, hissing dangerously and looking beyond icepetal, to outside. Waiting until eyes flicked to the entrance to check for this danger that she had sensed before swinging her back legs around lightning fast, lynx claws gleaming in the soft light she had not taken them off, the whole maneuver smooth and prettily executed as the dangerous back-claws slashed at the mothers throat. She jumped into the darkness hiding again as the movement was finished, looking to see if she had killed, or at least injured the queen. She was fighting in close space and though the black color of her pelt and her smell, the strong scent of fresh grass having filled the whole nursery now, keeping her undetectable in the shadows, but not for long. She could always fling herself through the back of the nursery, she was strong enough, but she wished to take kits with her, an unlikely situation if she indeed left in such a manner. as soon as she could outmuscle the icy she cat, or perhaps have her try and help a seriously wounded or dying queen, she would be happy with the latter option, she could snatch the kits and be off, or perhaps she would have to make do with grabbing the one that had been sent to fetch Lonestar.
Rookpaw frowned as icepetal entered and exited without saying a word to him. He was discouraged starting to feel worried and nervous, had foxfire done something foolish? He frowned genuinely worried for the she-cat it took him several minutes to decide on getting up. he did so easily padding warily out f his den and looking around, he couldn't smell blood.

Had Littleflower not have been as tense as she was, the attack would have killed her. She jumped backwards, causing the attack to only ligthly scratch her throat. She stummbled backwards, wincing and snarled. Bluekit raced forwards, but was imediatly stopped by her mother's tail. Littleflower backed up, keeping an eye on both her kits and the strange cat. She knew that if she rushed her, she'd be leaving the kits exposed to any other attack. Her priority was their safety, not the stranger.

Ice rushed around Icepetal, creating a slick and shiny surface over the ground that would be hard to grip in any case. Then it seemed to form a wall over Littleflower and the kits. "Do not try my patience." Icepetal warned, her voice popping and snapping like ice suddenly thrown into a raging fire. "You will lose every time." Icepetal warned. "Bring it on and give me all you've got! By sun-up you're going to be wishing you'd never set a paw here!" Come on, Foxfire. If ever I needed your help, it would be now. If this cat calls my bluff there's no way I can go through with it! Icepetal thought frantically, acting like her fiery sister to try to buy some time until Lonestyar got there.... Or until Foxfire showed up.....
Foxfire still hadn't returned to camp She was laying on her back in the field, right where Rookpaw had left her. What she needed was for someone to come and whack her upside the head, but that wasn't really likely to happen. No, she would probably stay here until she got hungry and then hunt and tell her sister she'd been so busy thinking that she'd lost track of time and fallen asleep outside of camp. Icepetal would believe her, Foxfire was sure of it.....

Oath hissed softly, hidden in darkness, it was a shame, it would be so much simpler if the queen had just died. Her eyes hardened in annoyance at the strange cat and the ice that crawled from her, but even this was no match for the black-furred cat. A crooked grin flashed across her maw in the shadows, she wondered possibly if that fool poison may have followed her, he might be uefull right now, but her time was running short, she quickly switched her claws around, one on her front right, the other set on her back left. She had left those for her front paws tucked away neatly under a rock, they were in no danger, but this way shed be able to inflict greater wounds much easier, her front and back both having an extra bite to them. She snuck as far forward as she could in the darkness, then rushed at the entrance, or rather the cat in her way, kill her and swiftly, then smash through that wall, grab the kits, kill the mother if necessary, and hightail it. She snarled, teethe shining bright as they opened in a ready-to-bite position, her back legs launching her forwards, claws, both her own and the additions, flashing at the cats shoulders, oath was hoping to cause some serious pain, and finish off the cat with a good rake to her back, perhaps along the hard spine that was so easily ripped down to with her long claws.
Rookpaw frowned, now there was a slight smell of blood, from the nursery, perhaps one of the kits had scratched themselves, he couldn't see icepetal anywhere, and instead took in the air, smelling foxfire where he had left her before, he frowned, jumping from the ground, it would not take him long to check on the she-cat.
Lonestar opened a deep blue-green eye as he smelt stone kit enter, and raised his head curiously. "What are you doing up so late littleone?"

"There's a mean cat in the nursery and he wanted to take us away and momma said no and she said come in here and talk to you..." Stonekit stopped to take a few breaths.
Littleflower glanced at her two kits. "Stonekit shold have been back by now." She murmered. She stared intently at the two cats through the wall of ice. Bluekit reared up on her hind legs and hissed at the stranger, trying to bite through the ice. Snowkit shivvered, totally terrifyed.

Icepetal had no time to flee. So she ducked and spun, trailing her club-like tail behind her. The ten-inch-thick layer of ice making it incrediably heavy and the ice itself making it easier for Icepetal to attack her opponant. "That all you got?" Icepetal hissed, still pretending to be a Warrior and try to scare off this cat.....
Foxfire didn't move. She didn't want to. After another few long moments, she got to her paws and shook herself. She felt so tired but she couldn't sleep. Shaking her head, she turned her back to the camp and stared accross the field....

Littleflower dug a hole in the wall of the den. "Go find Foxfire." She murmered to Snowpaw. The white kit shivvered, trying to bring in some courage, and slipped out of the den. "You find Rookpaw." The mother said to Bluekit. "But momma!" She kit whined. Littleflower knocked her out of the den with a swift movement of her tail. She then tightened her muscles, ready to try and break through the ice if Icepetal needed her help.
Snowkit raced towards the field, following the burnt scent of Foxfire. "Wait! Wait!" She shouted, probably for the first time in her life.
Bluekit jumped up in the air, nipping Rookpaw's tail. "Come back!" She hissed, impatiently. She couldn't wait to get back in the nursery to the fight.

Oath landed on the opposite side of icepetal as the other cat ducked, hissing as her tail knocked her off balance but she was off again in a matter of moments her way no longer barred, she blinked as she saw kits scurrying places in front of her. her eyes flicked to the kit nipping at some flying cats tail, a quick leap and bound and she was practically on top of her grabbing at her scruff and running towards the entrance, where she could see yet another kit, what was this luck she was having? Well she certainly wans't about to take it for granted. She snatched at Snowkit as well, still straking forwards with great speed her alrge paws making loud beats against the ground as she tore out of the camp.
Rookpaw felt something pull at hi tail, and turned around to see a dark shadow of a cat streak past beneath him, what was this nonsense? Was he dreaming again? He could smell no cat sent and yet there was one right beneath him, with bluekit in her jaws. As he realized this he hissed, flying though the air after the scentless cat, she already had a decent start on him but he could do a decent job of catching her.
Lonestar blinked, but was up in an instant. "Stay in the back of my den Stonekit, try and hide yourself under that moss." He commanded quickly, all in one breath as he rushed out of the den only to see a black shape darting out the entrance, he ran to tge nursery sticking his head in. "Whats going on?"

Foxfire instantly saw Oath. Flames rushed at the black cat as the fire greedily sped toward her. Foxfire herself seemed to move far faster than usual, her hiss crackling and popping. "DROP THOSE KITS!" Foxfire yowled, jumping towards Oath's back, her flames reaching toward the cat. Foxfire's rage flared up faster than many believed possible as she struggled to do whatever harm possible to Oath.....

Littleflower flung herself at the ice wall as she saw the strange cat snatch her kits. She charged out of the nursery, trying to shake the dizziness out of her head.
"Lemme go you mouse-brained smellybeast!" Bluekit yowled, clawing at the strange cat's face. Snowkit wailed pitifully as she was snatched.Stonekit raced obediently to the back of the den.

Oath sidestepped the approaching cat at the last moment eyes on the fire. "Watch it, you wouldn't want to burn the kits." She hissed, glancing skyward where the other cat was, this place was full of freaks. She jumped at the other cat, kits still dangling in her mouth, claws slashing at anything that got to lose, in hopes of shredding the cat. She didn't stick around to have the enraged mother and at of the air join the fight, rather she jumped over the fire-cat, heading out the entrance at full speed again.
Lonestar jumped out of the way as Littleflower exited, and his eyes turned to the entrance. "Oath." He hissed furious as he saw the cat by the light of foxfire's flames. Oath could kill any of the, with ease if she was unburdened. She could still kill them with kits in her mouth. "Littleflower stop!." he said catching up to her quickly. "Stonekit is in my den, go stay with him in case there are any others with her, the warriors can handle her." He ordered calmly, some good t would o for her to get injured if she couldn't take care of the kits.
Rookpaw continued to watch from above, still drowse he didn't want to get in the way of foxfires flames by coming down suddenly without her knowing he was there, she may as well burn him.
