The dark of night was lifting in the dawn, her only cover leaving her but that did not matter she would not be attacked, not by any Windclan cat. Riverclan hadn't been seen or heard for so long...and she was a medicine cat. No one attacked medcine cats. She sighed knowing she had left the few remaining riverclan cats alone to make the midnight trek here, but what was she supposed to do, keep him? She glanced back at the silvery grey tom that limped along in her wake, her tail the guidance for him in the dark, the large sratch above one eye had caused it to swell shut and he couldn't see very well. He was a rather pitiful sight but his strength of character had not dimmed.
Lonestar sighed, continuing to follow the riverclan medicine cat she had patched him up, fed him poppyseeds and was now leading him to his own territory. He didn't even know where his own clan was, nor could he have wasted time searching in his current state. he hoped they were in better condition than Riverclan, reduced to some dying warriors and the medicine cat. He continued to limp after Nettletongue, what a sight he must be, his flanks and been shredded by the extra large extra sharp claws of the cat called oath. She had followed him when they first set off on the journey, he had snuck away from the others to keep her from killing any other cats. She had only stopped following after he fell over a cliffside, that had been the worst of it though. He had finally traced the clan cats to here, their new home. He still had his lives, so he was still rightful leader wasn't he? Even though he had lost two, one to Oath's claws, another to the fall over the cliff. He wondered if his cats were alright, what had they done in his absence? He had heard Swiftstar had died, this was troubling before he had always had an ally in Thunderclan. Now he wasn't sure. Hawkfeather had been deputy last time he had seen that clan. He sighed once more, continuing to limp after the she-cat.

Greyice padded along WindClans' border with RiverClan, seeing two cats in the dark. Quickly, he yowled for Foxfire to come and see. Foxfires' glowing pelt came, the flames around her paws casting a bright light around. Flames licked up her black marking, crackling and popping though the didn't spread. They wouldn't until she wished them to. Her black eyes seemed to glow like a raging wildfire as her fire-red fur bristled angirly as she watched the intruders. Then Greyice vaguely recognized Lonestar, if only from his sister's description of him. "Foxfire. Chill." Greyice purred to her. Foxfire took one look at him and let her fire reduce down to burning embers. "Who's that?" Foxfire asked. "One's the riverClan Medicine Cat and the other's WindClan leader. Go get your sister." Greyice ordered with the same authority of Swiftstar. His icy blue eyes were the exact same shade as hers as he stared out at Lonestars' returning form... and the moonlight reflected off them in the same way. The moon was nearly full. There would be a Gathering soon, he knew....

Lonestar stopped raising his head to look forwards. Two cats, windclan cats. He glanced at Nettletongue, who merely continued to trudge over the hillside. He followed her limping along. He could see the first rays of light creeping over the hillside and in them his bloodstained pelt became prominent. Showing the gashes and ragged fur that the other cats claws had left. he sighed as the cobweb that had been plastered over his shoulder came loose, allowing drops of his own blood to fall onto the grass. Nettletongue didn't speak but walked right up to Greyice. He knew she would catch her Riverclan scent but there was no longer any point in keeping their troubles a secret. Even Clowstar had passed on, all nine lives lost even with her care. There was no reason to stay in riverclan the few that had been alive when she left would have dwindled even more now.
"You are Windclan." She said, not a question more of statement that needed verification. She knew he would have caught her scent, muddled with herbs as it was and was perfectly ready for the questioning of what Riverclan was doing.

Greyice nodded with all the authority that Swiftstar possessed. "I am. Foxfire, go fetch Icepetal. She might be able to help Lonestar." Greyice ordered. Foxfire dipped her head and ran off, fire blazing a burning trail behind her as she ran. Greyice dipped his head in respect to Nettletongue. "I assume you're returning our lost leader to us?" He asked, eyes going from Nettletongue to Lonestar. His eyes the greatest resemblance to his sister. He knew if any cat would recognize him, Lonestar would. And he sincerely hoped that wouldn't be the case.....

"Was he so lost?" Nettletongue said airily her eyes cutting into the other cat, no querys into er clan, well that suited her nicely. "You do have a medicine cat then? I thought Windclans had died." She said, there was no tone in her vice as she sat down.
Lonestar said nothing not yet he was staring at greyice quietly a peculiar expression on his face he stopped after a minute though, nodding at him. "I really don't need any hep, Nettletongue has done what I need. How is Windclan?"

Greyice smiled. "Good." Greyice mewed. "Smallstep became Smallstar. I don't know if she's recieved her nine lives yet. Foxfire and Icepetal are both odd but they're both loyal. I don't know if Icepetal's our medicine cat or not, but Foxfire's been telling me a lot about her and I think she's going to be soon." Greyice purred. Then a sleek black shape, one still much too thin even fore a Clan born cat, came to greet them. "I came to see how both Clan were doing. I havn't seen any RiverClan patrols and I figured I'd offer to lend a paw." Swiftstar purred, eyes scanning the three cats present as her icy blue eyes shone. She dipped her head in respect for Lonestar. "Pleased to see you, my old friend." Swiftstar mewed. "Hello, both of you." She said to Nettletongue and Greyice, her eyes scanning her brother as if making sure he was alright. Greyice now refused to meet Lonestars' gaze. Swiftstar smiled. She had a bet with Greyice. She bet that Lonestar wouldn't figure out she and Greyice were related. Greyice bet he would. Neither put anything on it, just for fun. And neither would be overjoyed if Lonestar found out. "I feared you dead." Swiftstar told him, blinking and shifting slightly.....

Lonestar turned his eyes to Swiftstar. "And I heard you were." He said looking her up and down. "You don't look well, though I'm not the cat to be saying that." He said, smiling a little. "Smallstar did you say? But they wouldn't have been able to give her her nine lives unless I was dead and I mean all the way dead. She also wouldn't have been given the tite..." He trailed off closing his eyes in thought. "I'll need to consult Starclan, but s there such a place to speak with them? He asked, ignoring the pain i his sides, eyes having slid from Swiftstar to Greyice, and now back to Swiftstar.
Nettletongue looked at Swiftstar. "Of course there haven't been patrols." She mutterd staring a the Thunderclan leader for a minute. "I'm not so sure this is our place, no good has come to us but a break from that travel wich dwindled our umbers and then we rest here, and we have still not found a moonstone." She said, frowning.

Swiftstar smiled at Lonestar as he looked between her and her brother. "My Clan believed I had been killed in a landslide. Have you heard of a cat that can turn invisible? Or maybe bland with the rain or something? I could've sworn I was following a cat rather like that but I could be wrong......" Swiftstar meowed, shaking her head and beginning to wash her ear. Greyice looked down at his paws, trying to hide his eyes from Lonestar. Then Foxfire showed up, Icepetal in tow. Icepetal smiled gently at Lonestar and Nettletongue. Ice spread from her paws and cracked as she lifted her paws and shifted restlessly. She slowly approached Lonestar and saw where the cobweb had come loose. She'd brought marigold and poppy seeds though her control over ice allowed her to stop bleeding much better then the conventional methods of using cobwebs. She approached Lonestar the same way she approached Foxfire when she was hurt, slowly and carefully. She looked Lonestar over and replaced the cobwebs that had slipped, applying enough ice to stick it to Lonestars' fur. She turned to Nettletongue and smiled. "Thank you for all your help, though I'm sure lonestar already has." Icepetal meowed. "Foxfire, don't burn the Clan Leader." Icepetal called, as if scolding a kit, without turning to face her sister. She knew, without having to see or hear anything, that Foxfire was threatening Swiftstar and Swiftstar wasn't backing down. Foxfire rocked back on her haunches, hissing in rage. Icepetal sighed and shook her head.....

Nettletongue ignored Icepetal rather she turned her head to this one called 'Foxfire'. "Actions are stronger than words, and the scars they leave never heal." She muttered staring at the firey cat. She yawned, walking forwards to stand in front of the strange colored cat yellow eyes staring forwards at the other cat. "Do you believe in Starclan?"
Lonestar looked up from watching what Icepetal was doing, watching Nettletongue and shaking his head, she was such a strange cat, one moment she was speaking in tongues the next she was insulting someone. His thoughts seemed to be ahead of Nettletongue's low voice, she had obviously paused to give room for a response.
Nettletongue smiled, or smirked rather eyes still staring at the firey she-cat. "With your temper I'm suprised you've made it this far, you can't even control yourself. Fire consumes." She muttered this last part so low that only herself and the cat she was staring at could have heard. Then she turned and began to stalk away. "You said you wanted to check on Riverclan swiftstar then come with me when I go." She said, sitting down a distance away.
Lonestar now felt he could intervene, he didn't want to interrupt anything Nettletongue might have to say, a little strange but infinitely wise. "Foxfire was it? YOu not to fight with Swiftstar. That is an order." he said, ead calm in his oice not betraying his uncertainty. "Disappearing cat? No ive never heard of such a thing." He said, looking at Greyice. "Welll...if Smallstep has received nine lives I truly need to speak with starclan." he said softly, thinking quietly as the dawn light crept over the dew-covered grass.

Firefox took a moment to respond. "I believe in StarClan, but my belief is not as strong as those of other cats. I have never seen a sign, though I believe others might see them. I have no reason to trust in StarClan, however much I believe they exist." Foxfire hissed before turning to her Leader. She looked him over as if assessing him to figure out wether or not he was worthy before she dipped her head in respect. "Very well." Foxfire meowed calmly. "I will give her one bit of advice though. There are more of us around than just myself and Icepetal. Solstice has taken up the leader position within Shadow. Avoid him. And know that, just because he leaves no scent trail going from one point or another, he could be just around the corner. Along with the manipulation of darkness and shadows came the ability to go anywhere without actually traveling. The twolegs called it 'teleporting'." Foxfire warned everyone there before she stood up and headed back toward the camp....
Greyice watched Lonestar. "I don't think she has but only StarClan knows for sure. And Nettletongue, was it? Foxfire likes getting under the skin of people who she doesn't think deserve her respect. For her to obay someone, they have to have earned it. The only cat I've seen who can keep her in like is Icepetal." Greyice said, his tone respectful and the type of voice he used was the same type a warrior might use to suggest that another cat not wake a sleeping bear until he was far, far away. Swiftstar smiled at nettletongue. "Thank you. Perhaps I can help." Swiftstar purred. Icepetal turned to Swiftstar. "I have, though I'm afraid I've forgotten their name. It controls water. I believe it does have the power of invisibility as well." She mewed before turning back to her work. She was nervous. She always had been, especially when dealing with medicine cats she wasn't familiar with. "How badly does it hurt? Has Nettletongue given you any poppy seeds recently?" Icepetal asked. "Foxfire! Don't kill anything!" Ice petal called at her sister, knowing Foxfire had circled back around to see if anyone was following her. Icepetal sighed and shook her head. "Wonderful. Always running off...." Icepetal muttered darkly under her breath when it became clear her sister was not going to reveal herself......

Lonestar made a small coughing noise in the back of his throat. "Indeed. Nettletongue gave me poppyseeds, any more and i think you would knock me out. As for where it hurts...everywhere. But thats no matter." He said flicking his tail in an agitated manner to shoo off Icepetal a bit, more out of a need to think about more important things than his own injuries. He still had three lives.
Nettletongue nodded at Swiftstar. "Then i will away. You, the icey one, tell your sister she ought heed me." She said, muttering to herself as she got up and stretched, starting to pad away.
Lonestar looked at Swiftstar. "i will se you again I hope." He said, standing a little stiffly and looking at Greyice. "Don't avoid my eyes, they are not as sharp as claws nor brutal as a bloodclan cat. You best show me to camp though...and do you know if the apprentice's Silverpaw and Sunpaw are still around?" He asked lightly, knowing himself that they had disappeared a long time ago. He no longer family. Even his sisters kits had gone. "I'll need to speak with Smallstep." He said, almost wishing he hadn't asked about the wo apprentices that had obviously never come back before the clans left.

Greyice shook his head. "Iv'e never heard of them but I'm fairly new to the Clan." He meowed. Swiftstar brushed her pelt against Lonestars' own as she passed. "Be careful with my kin, Lonestar." She purred before following Nettletongue. Greyice got up to lead the way to the WindClan camp, though his eyes watched Swiftstar as she left rather protectively as he temporarily forgot where he was. Then he shook himself out of his daze and turned to go. He didn't speak as he started on his way, going slow enough for Lonestar to easily follow him. He also slowed his pace to Icepetal could keep up. She was slow and had never been much of a hunter on the open moors, more well-suited to a medicine cat in the first place and Greice knew she was just absent-minded enough to get lost if she fell behind......

Lonestar got up, following after Greyice, he moved so he was walking practically beside the other cat."If its a secret I can keep it." He aid quietly keeping his stride even as he walked beside the other cat, knowing look in his eyes. Even if he hadn't heard Swiftstar he would have known, the eyes coupled with the way he had watched her go were enough.
Nettletongue slowled her step so Swiftstar could catch up looking at the leader curiously. "You only have one life left. Yet you don't spend it with your clan."

Swiftstar smiled. "I spend it here because ThunderClan is stronger than other Clans and, before we all made the journey, I promised myself and StarClan that I would see all the Clans through this. And so I will. If I lose my last life then I lose it and join the others in StarClan." Swiftstar explained. "My Clan is strong and ,even before the journey, I was away often. Trying to streangthen all the Clans even then." She meowed....
Greyice took one look at Lonestar and decided to confide in the leader. "Swiftstar's my sister. I tagged along after Mousefurs' death and followed the Clans here. When I thought she died in the landslide I watched the other Clans and knew ThunderClan was the strongest out of all of them and that Swiftstar wouldn't want to see the other Clans dead so I joined with WindClan." Greyice mewed nervously. "I didn't want my neice to have died in vain anyway and had discussed joining the ranks of WindClan before Swiftstar went missing and she aggreed. We both decided that it would be best if I didn't tell Smallstar but we both made a bet that, if you came back, you would figure it out anyway." Greyice finsihed, gaining confidence as he spoke. Icepetal lagged behind them both, cursing her slowness.....

Lonestar nodded. "Very well, your family aren't like nomal clan cats. There is a kittypet softness deep in there. In my opinion thats not an insult, but take it how you like." He said just as quietly. "Those two i asked about earlier were my sisters kits, they re long one now though." He said making his way up the hill.
Nettletongue merely blinked. "You are a strange cat, fighting for other clans its against the code what you do. Your clan always comes first, if you see that the other clans are weak you attack and take thier land for your own so your clan may prosper. You do not support them, it is a leaders duty to lead tier clan, and you can't if you aren't around." She said in an emotionless voice, not sharing her thoughts on the subject. "Can you keep up if we go faster? I must hurry back to my clan."

Swiftstar smiled. "Yes, I can keep up. As for what is against the code... Sometimes the code must be broken in order to do what is right. In my eyes, it is wrong to sit and was as other cats die. The other Clans had not attacked my territory, or stolen from my Clan. I have no reason to wish them dead. My Clan has plenty of food and territory to survive. They are capable. I lead them as best I can. I, however, will not pretend to be someone I am not. I act for the best intereast of my Clan though I have no reason to quarrel with the other Clan leaders.... As of yet...." Swiftstar meowed, only half expecting anyone to be listening. She'd decided who her deputy would be.......
Greyice, who knew this quite well, only smiled. "There always has been. Swiftstar was raised a kittypet and, I guess, it never really left her. Mousefur inherited it and I was rather attatched to my niece." Greyice meowed sadly. "It tore Swiftstar up. Now she feels a need to take care of everything around her. Her Clan and the other Clans...." Greyice trailed off, realizing he'd probably said too much.....

Lonestar nodded quietly. "indeed. Well, she should care for herself ore than she is." He said falling into scilence as he continued to walk.
Nettletongue glanced at swiftstar but remained silent. "Very well." She said, moveing smoothly into a ground eating run almost too fast, especially for a medicine at, but she needed to get back to her camp, she had left them alone for too long.

Swiftstar was called 'Swift' for a reason. She easily kept up with the RiverClan she-cat.....
Greyice smiled. "True. But she won't." Greyice meowed as he spotted the camp and lead the way into it.....
